Ironbreaker/ Swordmaster tactics discusion

i am playing War few years and More and more in time bothers me traditionally distribution of tactics.
most players have rule to use Rugged tactic for tank(bonus toughness) i think this is kill of 1/4 of tactic use(now 1/3)
tanks have naturally high toughness + using of talismans/pots you can be too high in numbers
maybe in 1vs1 have this tactic substantiation, but in group fight with good healer:
1. nobody is attacking on tanks
2. different between absorbing damage with/without rugged tactic is about dozens of hitpoints, no hundreds
it is better to use one tactic to something else?
for example:
IB

or
http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=ib; ... 0:;0:0:0:0:
SM
http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=sm; ... 0:;0:0:0:0:
or
http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=sm; ... 0:;0:0:0:0:
or other combinations...
i know, is safer to play with Rugged, but more boring

Yes or at least they were on live, I have not tested it but it should work.
Your builds for IB are not bad but you might consider using stoutness of stone or rising anger as well.
Stoutness of stone is great, and many IB's like to run rising anger to help with grudge generation.

in 1vs1 fight is rising anger potent, but at scenario, or open rvr i just use Oath friend, and i have 100 grudge at 100 in 5 sec. Stoutness of stone... yes, it is good now, against mara knock or chosen stagger.
destro players using these strikes with great joy
thanks for answer

Your Sm build tactis (BE and BoH) aren't gonna help that much on healing, but u don't have many options if u want group utility xD
If u want some more surv get CW instead, will help much more with all those sorc around.
Rugged is not bad but neither a must, sometime i swap it for FO if i get ignored and then replace it again if they notice i'm using that wicked tact.

Does blessing of heaven and bolstering enchantments heal you as well or just your group?

It doesnt matter that people dont attack tanks, you still take damage from aoe/guard/ect. If you run 2x wps (which somehow havent been nerfed), they can group heal through it, so then you can drop rugged and go for more dps. If you run cloth healers you want to be as defensive as possible so they can focus heals on your dps.
As for spec, not sure if youre asking about groups or 1v1, but for groups you absolutely cannot give up earthshatter and the heal debuff tactic - thats 2 of the best abilities in the game.
Sms are a little more flexible - you can get crashing wave or WW depending on the group, I usually go CW just because WW is so unreliable, plus crushing advance is great to interrupt sorcs/healers. The healing tactics arent bad solo, but id still run rugged/ishas protection/perfect defenses in a group.

Guard damage does not get mitigated by toughness. Also, don't use etc. when you can't think of more instances
