Ahh finally not crashing anymore within the first seconds. Thanks a lot

Troubleshooting this issue now, as its happening to me. I've deleted my user profiles and made sure there are no addons running. Game still crashed. I dropped the graphics level down, and changed from fullscreen to windowed mode. Still crashed on me.

This is odd, since I was playing the game without issue last night. It happens on all of my current characters. I'm going to attempt to recreate the issue with a new character.

Noted a sound anomaly right before the crash, as a previous use had. This time I'm going to do this while tailing the logs.

FYI this is me running windows 10, after I had installed the game from the launcher.

Turned off shader optomization in graphics options. Loaded a new character, and now the game is not crashing. Now attempting to log into an existing character since I've had a good load.

Seems that it was the characters. I had to delete those characters and log in new to resolve this. I'll look at logging for a better fix if it happens again. I was only rank 3.

Did you try the fix i posted on the previous page? Sounds like it should work.

That fixed the problem it seems. It's not crashing anyhow. TYVM!!!

I am reinstalling the game, then I will try this solution !

Tried this still crashing in Altdorf.

Was it just a random crash or was it one related to the game sound? I mean a few crashes gere and there are nothing of the unusual.

A while ago(at least 4 weeks) I started having client lock ups mostly in scenarios. Everything would just freeze and task manager would report the client as not responding. Also had crashes as the game was closing but that wasnt an issue for obvious reasons. Yesterday I reinstalled a fresh client with fresh addon downloads and things seemed to be going well. Today, again, I crashed in a scenario under the same circumstances as before. Replaced the audio file as suggested and now I'm stuck in Altdorf because the client crashes to desktop instantly with no warning after a few seconds of moving either way in the tunnel I am in which is the very last turn before the war quarter in the western tunnel. I noticed someone else log in and disappear so it seems others are having issues there as well.

So with the old audio file I crash in scenarios and with the new audio file I crash in Altdorf. I'm currently testing to see if I experience crashes with the new audio file outside of Altdorf.

The audio file works like a charm. Game stopped crashing for me and runs great.
