The instant 0sec casts worked when the .ab ex mode was enabled on the server. After its removal and Disrupt changes, the class mechanic is just as broken as useless like back on live. [just like the good old days, eh... t. formerly grumpy shaman from live]

I mean you could still go usual heal spec, but any attempt to use Balance Essence or even AP drain on a target that either has high Willpower, Block or stacks DeftDefender is more or less guaranteed failure - even if you stack max Int for maximized strikethrough value, you won't getting any reliable dps-healing done.
On the other hand, you also become immune to enemy magic by spending 10-20 renown points in Disrupt.

As far as I remember the .ab ex mode removed (intentionally) the possibility of instant casts through mechanic points. After the removal of .ab ex there seem to be some leftovers of code(?), which make the mechanic point spending now buggy.

A lot of misinformation.
.ab ex wasn't broken and it didn't have instant casts- the cast bar reflected the appropriate cast time, unlike how it is now. It didn't work for DPS but it made healing fun. You actually made use of the mechanic. As it is now, I'll Take That! is a waste of a cool down, cast time, and action points; in order for it to, sort of, work you need to have high intelligence and be lucky enough for it not to get disrupted or blocked- you're better off just spamming regular heals and ignoring the mechanic....While it does increase the potency of your DoTs (disrupted very often), HoTs, and reduce the cast time of your spell, it's not worth the wasted time needed to maintain the appropriate ratio/points.

I saw that Bozzax was also accusing me of misimplementing Heaven's Blade and Wrath of Hoeth, so just for the record, they stacked because the client said they should stack.

On ex mode: interesting. It was easier to remove it than nerf lifetap 13pters?
