I'll just start working on my BO
what I would do on your bo is:

Start questing to lvl 3 , then queue scenarios while u continue doing pve. If scenarios are not starting press L and join the appropriate 1-15 warband and run to them.

While u are not rvring , keep queuing scenarios and don't pve level too much.

Also keep checking the pvp vendors for gear. U need renown rank and medals for some of it. The vendors are in the chaos t1 warcamp between nordland and norsca.

How I leveled my chosen:
Spoiler:

work towards this build:

Chosen Build

you should get at least RR20, normally you have aquired this RR befor you leave T1.

Spec like this:

Renown Spec

Auras:

Corrupting Retribution
Dreadful Agony
Discordant Instability

Base rotation:
Blast Wave -> Supression -> Ravage, Ravage, Ravage

If you have pulled too much mix in Repel, Challenge.

mix in taunt for more dmg.

You can this way pull a lot of mobs and basically don't have any sustain issues; so close to 0 downtime grinding.
You are mostly limited by AP; You can pick up Chaotic Advantage if you are AP starving, that's basically before you unlock Inevitable Changing M1.

Get cultivating and apothecary skills to craft healing potions while leveling.
Later you can drop those professions if you don't like them. It's just for the healpotions while leveling.

no clue if it's the best way, but hadn't much issues besides AP.

So just to make sure, at lvl 3, start queuing for scenarios and/or join the warband. I should have RR20 before lvl 15 and get gear from the PvP Vendors at the Warcamp.

I'm not opposed to just rerolling my Chosen and starting over to do it correctly, or starting my BO. With this in mind, between Chosen & BO, which is generally considered the better class?

Different tanks, some may say chosen is overall more "meta" especially and mostly in warband warfare but I am not 100% updated on the recent changes.

Just play what you think is cooler really.

Also it's very important and I will remind u to really get Enemy add on for both tanks. And PlanB if u decide to go BO.

There is no really best way to do it, just keep queueing scenarios even at lvl 1 while doing your questing stuff. But if scenarios do not start just don't pve too much and instead head to RVR by joining a warband.

Also it's bot really needed to be rr20 before leaving t1, I mean it's absolutely not wrong but don't try hard to do it, just keep your RR as close or more than your pve rank and it's all right.

Btw from scenarios u earn Emblems u can buy weapons and armor (offensive armor)

With RvR u get Medallions, u can buy armor with those ( defensive)

Thanks, T1 is to lvl 15 right? I'm not even 100% sold on tanks, but when I tried DPS, I seemed way to squishy, but I guess I'm looking at from a PvE perspective. For various Destro players, would anyone suggest what the faction needs overall? Is there a lack of Tanks, Healers or DPS or is it pretty well round. I know people will say play what you like, but I also want to contribute well to the faction. Where can I get those said add-ons? Enemy & PlanB

I ask because honestly, at the moment I'm only dicking around in WAR, still playing WoW for the most part, but getting real tired of all the bullshit with Azerite armor & other ****, thinking about dropping my sub and just play WAR primarily

Destro has plenty of tanks and melees in general, but can't say one more wouldn't be needed anyway.

Addons: https://tools.idrinth.de/addons/

PlanB (only if BO)
Enemy
Shinies

My must have ones

Well with the right level and build no I would say dps classes can just cut through mobs. But it does require something like a tactic u need a specific lvl or something else to achieve that. For example marauders excels at grinding mobs aoe. Or choppas might suck at first for solo pve but with the heal channel and some other tactics they are just fine.

In pvp tho, melee dps requires a bit of know when to go in and when not to, they can be melted very fast and they are a lot more focused on then a tank.

Scenarios are 1-15 / 15-30 / 31-40

RvR is 1-15 / 16-40

If you really wanna be helpfull to the faction. Roll a healer.

Roll a DoK so you can heal but still solo XP decently. Honestly destro is full of tanks and melee DPS, we have a rugby front line but a very thin back line ( and it's pretty much the opposite for order ).

What's the difference between DoK & Zealot?

without going into details, both healers are good with their uniqueness.

Dok has the possibility to be a Melee character, while Zealot stays a caster be it for dpsing or healing.
