You think that eliminating 1/2 of a classes potential until you get the best gear in the game is good design? Maybe mmo’s aren’t for you?

You are miss-understanding something here, your 2h chosen in dominator gear will still be effective against other dominator gear opponents... but unfortunately for you this is an mmorpg and there is gear progressions and gear matter in this type of games, so you wont be as effective against better geared opponents with low gear. There are catch-up gear sets in the game. Its not that hard to grasp really.

Any class with crap gear you listed will be terrible. Go level up.

Chosen and KotBS requires very little gear and renown to be viable and good, probably the lowest gear and renown "cap" (gear is overall overrated compared to renown but that's another discussion) among all careers, it's maybe if you spend your time playing this game as one of those tower engis/magi that sits afk at a tower for 2 hrs you can get away which just as low requirements when it comes to gear and RR.

After the introduction of Corruptive Power I don't see any issues with Chosen as a tank, yes before Chosen got this it was a walking punt/aura bot, but now it actually brings some great utility to groups.

KotBS needs RR 60 to get the cookie cutter build and Chosen gets it pretty much as 40 (unless you plan on rending spam Corruptive power spam which requires 60), and vanq is good enough for them both (Blood Lord still being BIS for Chosen e.g. is an issue though) while other careers need 70+ and invader or beyond to be good.

Why would I care about tank spec? The entire post is how outdated and lackluster 2H chosen is. And before I hear anything about, “it’s a tank class, play tank” then the 2H mastery tree shouldn’t exist for the class.

Corruptive Power is not for tank spec because it requires a critical hit, that tactic is for 2h chosen with crit
