Although it's a really nice idea, back before close we already had preliminary dialogue with GW (and I gave a proposal for continuation to senior management in Nott). We did get a response that they'd look into extension of WAR but after a few emails it never went anywhere.

The licensing isn't a simple one way thing, other stakeholders have intellectual property (e.g. "Realm vs Realm") tied into the game, so I think all things considered what we have now is probably the best solution for the community.

I suggest Kickstarter as well.

With the amount of players in this community, it's definitely possible.
