Just some crazy thought (one of many) I had whilst waiting for the update to complete. As much as I appreciate the dev’s work and effort to the game I can’t wait to see the game restored to it’s former glory, and that's far away. No worry I'll play every day.
Since we are not allowed to fund the dev’s in any way. Why not form our own software house (Azareal Games Ltd. or something haha), and try to get the rights to the full working game from EA, Mythic, GW or is it Sega these days who got the rights? They’re not doing anything with the game, and don't intend to do so in any future.
Small chance they might do it if the price is right, and with just the few 100 players we have now (maybe into the 1000’s once game is more complete) it seems near impossible. Anyway, just a random thought. Is server back up?

On-topic, even if we were allowed to fundraise to buy partial property of GW and EA's work (gl with that), it would take us tens, if not hundred of thousand of dollars. Realistically speaking, this would require every active player (of which we have 2,000 at the moment, I believe) to give 5 to 50 dollars. I doubt outside sourcing would actually help much, other than attract more players to a slowly buy surely progressing alpha game.
I'd rather see a donation model in which we can contribute to server upkeep and memory increase, as this would be more beneficial in the long run to keep this server 'private' and probably out of GW/EA's spotlight.

Re: Azareal Games Ltd.
Az sets up a steam account and we "donate" by giving him CSGO skines which he launders into real money via shady 3rd party sites that buy them for paypal cash.RyanMakara wrote:CS:GO skins idea? What thread did I miss?Jaycub wrote:I like the kickstarter or CSGO skins idea better :^)

Well when I'm not fighting crime in the middle of the night dressed as a Bat, I happen to be a billionaire playboy. Perhaps you should contact my butler Alfred and he will have the funds allocated to make said purchase. Better yet let's just buy Sega.

That is... genius. Although I'm sure Steam is a bit sharp on third party trading on their market, so you'd be at risk of losing everything, including the paypal account you're laundering to...Jaycub wrote:Az sets up a steam account and we "donate" by giving him CSGO skines which he launders into real money via shady 3rd party sites that buy them for paypal cash.RyanMakara wrote:CS:GO skins idea? Re: Azareal Games Ltd.
Now you revealed the plan, it's saved in google cache and i think it just might be used in court, what does your uncle have to say on this one?
But I'm rooting for every viable way to support the project, since I grew to like it
