we don't have numbers to make better matchmaking with quick queues
most of us played the game for more than 10y already so who give a **** about immersive scenarios. we stayed for the pvp.
what's sad is how mouse clicking casuals/boomers would rather keep making whining thread and complain about their poor solo queue experience for the sake of the "lore".
OK, forget the lore. You do not see (as an example) an imbalance of a KoBS and a Chosen combining their auras to buff a party?
Great post that gets at the heart of the reason why RoR's scenarios (and to a lesser extent open RvR) are less satisfying than they should be. In almost every situation in RoR, the only objective that matters is killing the enemy, deathmatch style. Unfortunately, the most effective way to do that is to combine all of your force into one place. Professional game designers realized that this kind of deathmatch doesn't create compelling gameplay, so they introduce objectives into games. It's unfortunate that the RoR developers took a game which already had those objectives and demolished them one by one.Dackjanielz wrote: Mon May 26, 2025 1:44 am if they wanna keep SCs as they are its up to them, but if you want more players then the mosh pit design of all the maps needs to end.
there is a reason why games have objectives, its to bring players out of the comfort zones and into multiple areas, it also provides the players who are losing a way of winning, keeps in ORVR are designed to give the losing side a defensive fortress in order to fight back.
this is why maps like the old thunder valley was decent because it offered 5 objectives spread across the entire globe, if you were getting rekt you still had a chance of winning by doing those instead.
now you are forced to fight in the middle - if you lose - your screwed - game over, then everyone just sits in spawn because no one wants to be farmed for 15 minutes.
The losers need a way of fighting back or they simply wont.
IF however you think im talking nonsense - sure - keep things as they are, up to you, ill just stick with ORVR, no worries.
No, because this can easily be disabled , like i.e rp and zealot rituals not stacking (they disabled this in solo ranked so it is possible)Morradin wrote: Mon May 26, 2025 3:44 amLyra2 wrote: Sun May 25, 2025 11:22 am +1 for cross faction

Except that the queing system is intentionally designed to place the premades against the pugs, when the means to correct this is already in the game and has been for years.
Current match maker works with FIFO(first in first out) as all MM systems, for premades and solo separation for around a 1 min, after - separation rule turn off form match with all in queue and priority on premades. With current online, common state - order premade already in SC vs destro pugs, destro premade in queue with order pugs and its a repeating process untill some premade will make bio break. Max SC time 15min+1min, if rise separation rule time to 18-20 min - premades will meet each other, but on the dead hour SC will proc after this timeout in queue and it can be a problem. You also can calc this time based on last 30-60min queue history, low population in queue - low separation time, high population - high separation time. At least on server primetime MM will give more balanced results.Martok wrote: Wed May 28, 2025 12:14 amsaupreusse wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 7:30 amDifferent people work on different things you know.
