Wouldn't it be possible to add conditional check on click casting in enemy? Seems like bad time for enemy users

"Would be possible" doesn't justify to block an addon that doesnt actually use said feature.

If you wanted a better comparsion of what NB would be like in somehting like counter-strike, it could helpfully reload your gun after every shot wether you wanted to or not. That's kinda what it's like on this.

If the honest answer is "well don't play then" that's the answer. People won't and you won't have anybody left to fight against.

Swearing or not, deminish my post all you want. An addon that automise things intended for the player to do themselves is cheating in my eyes. Lastly, I dont think your kids and your girlfriend make up for the vast majority of the comunity. There will be players around, if they actually wanna play the game as intended.

It does not change the fact that across the guild discord channels im memberships of, people are leaving or "taking a break" in droves.
about 20% of them have quit in the last week. Some in solidarity with disabled/disadvantaged players, some because thier family members cannot play, some because they simply don't agree with the change. People are also leaving because thier old dungeon/scenario team mates are leaving.
It is actually happening.
Arguing about what is/is not unfair really doesnt change that fact.
Personally I would like to play, but actually cannot.
My daughter has also decied to stop because she knows I cannot play.
Two of my guildies agreed and also stopped, and one of those has two kids and his wife that stopped because he stopped because of me.
That's seven people quitting because one person can't play. That's just in one guild on one discord server.
Out of those seven I was the only one using NB as far as I know. So it isn't really about whos using it and who isnt. People are quitting because thier friends or fellow members are being driven off.

NB is not cheating. NB is not a big deal, and yet people who played with it can't play without it? Everyone stops playing because they wouldnt play the game on normal terms. Your daughter obviously just play because you do, so NB doesnt really have anything to do with it.
Sad to hear players quit because they cant use keybindings and think for themselves. This is a PVP game, not monopoly boardgame. Keybindings have been a thing in these games for decades.

And earlier you pounced on details such as "aimbot" and "counterstrike", its not really relevant. Aimbot in counter strike is classified as cheating because it automise something the player is supposed to do him/herself. Namingly AIMING at your opponent. If you wanna dismiss my comparison because Counter-Strike and Warhammer Return of Reckoning, are not the exact same game, or aimbot is a script and NB an addon. Its all up to you but you are really just missing the point Im stating. Both automise a basic mechanic of the game.

Ffs stop with the cheating bs already. NB was a thing because it was possible thanks to the Lua API implemented in the original client which allows addons to be made by anyone.
Anything that can/could be done using the in-game scripting engine is hardly comparable to aimbotting or other forms of cheating. Some ppl might dislike the idea of NB but that doesn't make it cheating or illegal. I agree though that in a competitive PvP-game it is questionable if allowing that much scripting was such a good idea in the first place. But banning it now, 13 years later is stupid and will just accelerate the death of this game.

What i´m personally wondering about :

The forum search shows a nerfbutton topic back in 2014. So since 2014 it seems to be tolerated to use it. Why is it now in 2021 an evil addon and the years before not ? Don't get it.

Nerfbutton hasn´t been updated since 2011 where an 3.3 version was released, they were even speaking as well about an 3.4 release soon which seems not to have happened. Even Idrinth is only offering an older version only. (from what i quickly googled, might be wrong information, if yes i´m sorry)

Assuming that the functioniality of NB hasn´t really updated since 2011, why is it now 10 years later an evil tool ? Or why it was tolerated the last years and now out of sudden it is the black plaque ?

Yes, i am / was a NB user. I main an Engi. I used it for firing off my dots, firing off my cooldown down skills. Maybe even in not the right priority in terms of effectiveness but simple to have less buttons to press. This has noting to do with l2p or whatever. Its just lazyness for convenience.

i´m 48 years old, i don`t need to compete with younger guys anymore. Not that i can`t anymore due to age restrictions or any other disabilities. I simply don't want it anymore.

I have a 10 hours working day, 3 young kids and not 6 hours gaming time per day anymore. When i log in, i just want to have fun and forget my reallife for a few hours. Sure, quite often i got roflstomped by WE´s with strange dmg values within a second. But you know what ? I don't care. Next time i group up and will be roflstomped then in 2 seconds. No problem I can adopt to it, no problem. Sure it´s frustasting to get bashed without having a real chance to react or whatever, but how often this is happening during a few hours ?

Leave it to the player if he want to use NB or not. I´m pretty sure that everyone who uses it is not using it within all possibilies. Below the line there might be only a few who abusively use it with whatever check conditions.

Personally i would prefer a server with 2k+ players where maybe 10% use NB to its max capabilities and "pwn" everyone and everything instead of having a empty / boring server when there is a city happening as the majority of the players are in it.

I would also bet that at one point the "abusively NB player" will lose interest and maybe leave as he has reached everything or whatever. I would always prefer that this player leaves instead of 10 others who just touching the surface of the nb possibilities.

I joined this server with 5 old friends from "live" round about march/april last year when there was a hype video on youtube. The server was upgraded two times 3000/3500 as far as i remember. I had so many times spent time in the login queue. When finally being able to login, it was a great time. There was always "enough to do" in any lvl range.

Now, 1 year later the hype seems to be over. During EU prime time the population reaches rarely 1600+, mostly it´s around 1400. Yesterday it barely reached the 1k.
From those 5 friends who joined with me is just 1 left.

Sure, Summer time, good weather, bla bla, lock down is not that strict anymore in few countries, areas. All granted but i could only ask the responsible people who runs this server to re-think some decisions in terms of population. This game makes only fun if there enough players for every aspect of the game. T1, PVE, T4, SC etc etc.

its mmo game. Not quake. Good player its not who click first. U need to have good ui. Know yours char. Know enemy. Map. Enemy U fight. And friends.

if current nb is not acaptable, for game . than maby change/remake nb what is accaptable for community? and u can use only it . like ror-nb.
