WL stance bonuses - backwards?

So, ignoring Trained to Hunt as the middle ground, we have:
Trained to Threaten: Lion tanks, player DPS's. Lion gets bonus Toughness and Wounds from the player's Toughness and Wounds.
Trained to Kill: Player tanks, Lion DPS's. Lion gets bonus Strength and Weaponskill from the player's Strength and Weaponskill.
So with Trained to Threaten you're encouraged to build Toughness and Wounds, when you want to be doing damage, and with Trained to Kill you're encouraged to build Strength and Weaponskill when you want to tank.
So, shouldn't it be:
Trained to Threaten: Lion gets bonus Toughness and Wounds from player's Strength and Weaponskill.
Trained to Kill: Lion gets bonus Strength and Weaponskill from player's Toughness and Wounds.
Or am I being daft?
