So, ignoring Trained to Hunt as the middle ground, we have:
Trained to Threaten: Lion tanks, player DPS's. Lion gets bonus Toughness and Wounds from the player's Toughness and Wounds.
Trained to Kill: Player tanks, Lion DPS's. Lion gets bonus Strength and Weaponskill from the player's Strength and Weaponskill.
So with Trained to Threaten you're encouraged to build Toughness and Wounds, when you want to be doing damage, and with Trained to Kill you're encouraged to build Strength and Weaponskill when you want to tank.
So, shouldn't it be:
Trained to Threaten: Lion gets bonus Toughness and Wounds from player's Strength and Weaponskill.
Trained to Kill: Lion gets bonus Strength and Weaponskill from player's Toughness and Wounds.
Or am I being daft?

Re: WL stance bonuses - backwards?
actually we've tried that.
it was somewhat balanced in 6vs6 where pet kill counter worked.
broken in every other scale.
it's infamous guadian WL era.
pet buff was too strong while it's meant to be complement.
kinda sad same thing happening with WE/WH now.
somewhat balanced in wb, broken in every other scale.
how many blood gonna spelled b4 change.
lake was full of WL back then.

Re: WL stance bonuses - backwards?
Ah - I did wonder if maybe that might be too strong. Still, I feel there must be a better way. What we have now makes you work against yourself. I kept getting confused as to which path I had decided to go down when looking at my stats & gear. 'Wait, why have I slotted Strength when I'm going tanky? Oh, right, to give my lion damage. Wait a minute..."
I shall ponder on it until he's high enough level and RR to psot on the balance suggestion.
Thanks for your reply.

AFAIK pet stat is around devastator set level.
I won't worry about tali bonuses converting to pet.
It's less important than main character.
if you die, pet is no use.
