[Guildbanner] Speed on allies

Hello,
Currently on RoR guild banners are mainly used in funnel situations or to boost a big renown tick such as killing a keep/fortress lord.
That seems like more could be done with this amazing system.
On AoR Live the banner attribute buffs would be 3 times higher with 15% bonus to stats, so I wouldnt say the stats are in a state of being overtuned as they are.
The abilities on the banner for the bearer are pretty decent, very rarely used outside of smallscalers trying to ress a dead healer.
So I was thinking.
What if the speed from the guild-standard affected up to 24 group/warband members but not outside of group/warband, like the 48player cap on the stats does.
What this would do would be an alternative but more epic method of moving around while roaming in rvr. Most players would probably stick to mounted movement because of the advantages:
- Mount 60% speed vs Banner from guildlevel 39 45%speed (slower than lvl 16mount)
- Mounts having a chance to not dismount on hit, banners instantly lose speed from entering combat.
- Mounts are a permanent purchase and you will not lose the goldinvestment, whenever a banner is lost you lose the 2gold.
The economy in this, could potentially allow someone to not invest the 100g into a lvl 38 60% mount but honestly I cant see this ever being a main argument for not allowing groupspeed on banners.
The details of the suggestion:
- Allow Standardbearer speed to affect upto a full warband of the user.
- Speed will be dropped from entering combat, regained when dropping combat
- While holding the standard you can use granted armor abilities such as Leading the Charge or atleast get affected by it to make a banner-charge as you are very easily put into combat running forward at 45% speed only.
I dont imagine most warbands or groups would still use bannerspeed, but for those who wanted to it would look rather epic a full warband on foot following their standardbearer into combat. Why not allow this disadvantageous option at the chance of some epic footage scenes for promotional sakes and PR.
