Scenarios: How they looked like on live

So today in the night, i was talking with a few people on /advice about Scenarios. One of those was someone called Steorra(?) if i recall correctly. Anyways im going to repeat what i found out about Scenarios in a few old videos.

Gates of Erkrund:
  • *Capping a Flag with 3 ppl takes ~15 sec.
*Caping a Flag with 6 ppl takes ~10 sec.
*Capping a Flag always gives 50 points.
*Uncapping an enemy Flag gives Zero points.
    *̶a̶̶ ̶̶f̶̶l̶̶a̶̶g̶̶ ̶̶g̶̶i̶̶v̶̶e̶̶s̶̶ ̶̶1̶̶ ̶̶p̶̶o̶̶i̶̶n̶̶t̶̶ ̶̶a̶̶l̶̶l̶̶ ̶̶6̶̶ ̶̶s̶̶e̶̶c̶̶o̶̶n̶̶d̶̶s̶̶.̶
    *̶a̶̶n̶̶ ̶̶e̶̶n̶̶e̶̶m̶̶y̶̶ ̶̶k̶̶i̶̶l̶̶l̶̶ ̶̶g̶̶i̶̶v̶̶e̶̶s̶̶ ̶̶1̶̶ ̶̶p̶̶o̶̶i̶̶n̶̶t̶̶.̶
*As long as at least One enemy is on their flag, you cannot cap it.
    In Addition:
*Solo capping a Flag takes exactly 30 seconds.
*Middle Flag cap is also 50 points.
*Middle Flag generates 2 Points all 5 seconds.
*Outer Flags give 1 point all 5 seconds.
    *Kills with 0 Flags => 1 pts; 1 Flag => 2 pts; 2 Flags (middle included here) => 7 pts; 3 Flags => 8 pts.
̶p̶̶r̶̶e̶̶s̶̶u̶̶m̶̶a̶̶b̶̶l̶̶y̶̶ ̶̶t̶̶h̶̶e̶̶ ̶̶c̶̶a̶̶p̶̶t̶̶i̶̶m̶̶e̶̶r̶̶ ̶̶f̶̶o̶̶r̶̶ ̶̶1̶̶ ̶̶m̶̶a̶̶n̶̶ ̶̶i̶̶s̶̶ ̶̶3̶̶0̶̶ ̶̶s̶̶e̶̶c̶̶o̶̶n̶̶d̶̶s̶̶,̶̶ ̶̶b̶̶u̶̶t̶̶ ̶̶i̶̶ ̶̶c̶̶o̶̶u̶̶l̶̶d̶̶n̶̶t̶̶ ̶̶c̶̶o̶̶n̶̶f̶̶i̶̶r̶̶m̶̶ ̶̶t̶̶h̶̶a̶̶t̶̶ ̶̶i̶̶n̶̶ ̶̶a̶̶n̶̶y̶̶ ̶̶v̶̶i̶̶d̶̶e̶̶o̶̶.̶
The rest of my list is taken from different Gates of Erkrund videos from youtube ranging from 3-5 years ago.

Nordenwatch:
  • *Capping outer Flags = 15 points.
*Capping the center Flag = 30 points.
*Outer as well as the center flags give 2 points each every 7 seconds.
*Killing an enemy with 1 outer Flag awards 5 points.
*Killing an enemy with 1 or 2 outer + center Flag also awards 5 points only.
Mourkain Temple:
  • *Each kill awards 10 points.
*Obtaining the Orb awards 0 points.
*The Orbcarrier awards his team 3 points after 15 Seconds and AFTERWARDS 3 points every 5 seconds.
*The Carrier gets cumulating damage(each tick every 5 seconds. This damage also directly starts 5 seconds after pickup (Unlike the points).
    Extra:
*The current Orb damage ticks 3 times and then grows. Ticks 3 times again on the same value etc.
*Starting Value = 76 damage. Subsequent ticks are: *3,*6,*10,*15,*20,*30 (so actual values: 76,228,456,760,1140,1520,2280).

Khaines Embrace:
I watched some Videos now and there are 2 different Versions of this one.
I think the second one (also the "newer" one) is the one to go though.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vtgxaj7g7o
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4_UBitZBgA

Heres the common stuff for both:
  • *Capping a flag is a on-click event (channel that gets interrupted with any dmg) which takes 5 seconds.
*Capping both flags gives the enemy team a 10 second time window for recap.
*The Flags both detonate after 10 seconds of being claimed by one faction.
*The explosion Radius is !approximately! half the length between the first flag and the destro warcamp. (sry for no feet numbers here, but that is testable once the map would be playable for me)
    *Each explosion awards 75 points.
*Both flags remain capped (and are un-recappable) for 30 seconds AFTER an explosion. Both flags turn neutral after that 30 seconds.
The only things that differ are the points awarded for kills:
  • *Each kill gives 1 Point
    OR
    *Each kill while having 0 Flags = 5 points, 1 Flag = 6 and 2 Flags = 7 Points.
The 30 second timer after the explosion supports my guess that the newer one (with points per kill depending on flags) should be correct.

Another important thing to add which we currently don't have are the respawn timers! Exactly at each full minute (XX:00) and each half minute (XX:30) are the respawns. In other words if you die at a timer of 12:47 and press release you have to wait 17 seconds until you respawn!

Im also going to mention that there should be a 12 vs 12 player cap in scenarios which would be nice to get fixed if its not too hard.

Stonetroll Crossing:
  • *The Pacifier (the Flag you carry) at the Top spawns after 1 Minute into the game.
*Picking up the Flag takes 4 seconds. (Taking ANY damage interrupts it!)
*Picking it up gives Zero points.
*Picking up the Flag triggers a 1 minute timer, in which you can claim any of the 3 outposts.
*Only the Flag carrier can claim Outposts.
*After claiming one of the Outposts your timer gets reset to 1 minute again.
*Capturing (Pacifying a Trolloutpost) an Outpost gives your Team 25 Points.
*Capturing an Outpost takes 2 seconds. (Taking ANY damage interrupts it!)
*Capturing all 3 Outposts awards your Team 3*25 points (for each Flag) PLUS 100 extra.
*If you die while holding the Pacifier it drops to the ground and can be picked up in a 15 second time window. Same also counts for capturing all 3 Points. The Pacifier resets after 15 Seconds.
*Every Kill awards 2 points at all times.
Pheonix Gate:
  • *Picking up the enemy Flag takes 2 seconds.
*Picking up the enemy Flag awards Zero points.
*Handing in the enemy Flag at your 'altar' takes 1 second.
*Handing in the enemy Flag gives your team 75 points.
*You can only hand in the enemy Flag when your own Flag is at home.
*Flags respawn instantly at their homebase after the carrier got killed or the Flag was handed in.
*Every Kill awards 2 points at all times.
Lost Temple of the Isha:
  • *Capping the center Flag works like in GoE mentioned at the top here.
*Capping the Flag awards 25 points.
*Holding the Flag awards 3 points every 5 seconds.
*Every Kill awards 2 points at all times.
*After the Flag has been capped the Orb(War Ball) spawns for the opposing Faction.
    *missing Orb interaction...

Problem here, i find absolutely no information about what the Orb here did and i can't remember either :/
Im not sure if it was extra points for Kills while holding it only, or if it additionally behaved like the Mourkain burning orb.. Maybe someone can show a Vid where someone actually picks up the Orb :D

Thanks for the information, but don't trust Steorra. He's opressing his own guildmates (110% guildtax, slave labor in his diamond mines, etc.) and insulting them with weird guildrank notations.
You know the big bloodthirster daemon in the bastion stairs with the giant whip? He's worse :!:

Good old BT ahh.. the feels..
Anyways: Do we have some kind of Thread where we can help with.. lets call it 'Requests' from the Devs to research different stuff? I mean there must be some kind of to-do-list and im pretty sure there are quite some points where we can assist them, even without greater scripting knowledge?
Got pretty much a month of freetime now and would like to help if possible

good nights though!

It cant hurt having some sort of knowledge base. Maybe a thread for each scenario and for different game mechanics where players can post what they remember and someone can aggregate it all at the top of the thread. Some things might only be useful acouple of years down the road. Its better than it all being forgotten.

Do kills give points? I remember being in a scenario that no one capped the flags, and even though we were kill each other, no one was getting any points.

We had a nice talk during that night! :)

I'm pretty sure kills gave 1 point in all tier 1 scenarios.
It is also very possible that Ekrund Gate Switch and Nordenwatch Fortress gave 2 points per tick, not just 1, therefore it was crucial to fight for the "best point" that was intentionally placed between both teams.

The time between ticks is 5 seconds, not 6.
Kills give 1 point.
Some objective tick value might be different between different SC.

Saw Nordenwatch SC with 2 BO including Fortress giving 4 points every 5 sec. Holding all would give 6 points following this logic. The capping of Lighthouse/Baracks gave 15 points, the Fortress 30.

Gates of Ekrund on the other hand gave 50 points per cap.

But I am not sure whether Mythic changed the rule sets at some point, making really old videos useless.
Dying is no option.

i edited some stuff for the Erkrund SC

what i could find out for NW so far was:
Capping outer Flags = 15 pts.
Capping the center Flag =30 pts.
Outer AND Center flags give 2 pts every 7 seconds. (Following the ingame timer it sometimes looks like its actually not even 7 but like 6 1/2 seconds)
Killing an enemy with 1 outer Flag => 5 points.
Killing an enemy with 1 outer + center Flag => also 5 points.

good quality video where you easily can track the numbers (allthough as stated above the tick timer for flags seems a bit odd).
