I hope many of you know it, but maybe some of you forget it and few of you never knew it.
Serve these things to help everyone.

Auto-attack dmg:
Auto-attack damage = ( ( Strength - Target's toughness ) / 10 + Weapon's DPS ) * Weapon's speed * ( Target's armor absorption - Armor penetration )


Ability damage:
Ability damage = ( ( Strength - Target's toughness ) / 5 + Weapon's DPS ) * 1.5 + Ability's damage modifier ) * ( Target's armor absoprtion - Armor penetartion )


Armor absorption:
Armor absoprtion percentage = Armor / ( Level * 1.1 )


Armor penetration:
Armor penetration = Weapon skill / ( Level * 5 + 50 ) * 25


Magic Resistance absoprtion:
Magic Resistance absoprtion percentage = (Magic Resistance Value/(Level of Attacker*.42))


Toughness is applied before resistances and armor.


% chance to Parry:
(Weapon Skill Value/(Level*7.5+50) *13.5) = % chance to Parry.


% chance to Dodge:
(Initiative Value/(Level*7.5+50)*13.5) = % chance to Dodge.
Initiative also boost your ability to see cloaked enemies.


% chance to Disrupt:
(Willpower Value/(Level*7.5+50)*13.5) = % of % chance to Disrupt.
Willpower also boost your HPS.


% chance to Block:
(Block Value/(Level*7.5+50)*5) = % chance to Block.


Practice, exercise:
Calculate how much is your damage when you attack a Chosen like this:
lvl10
toughness = ~200 (170+30 with Corrupting Wrath aura)
armor = ~800
magic resistance: 170-180 (70-80 + ~100 with Discordant Instability aura)

Dont forget they use Dreadful Fear aura too, so you have -30 Strength!
and if you are under lvl 10 you will do less damage.

Calculate how much stat you need to hit him with more than 1 damage.
Calculate how much stat you need to kill him before he kills you.

The damage of my SM's Gryphon's Lash is 124.

The calculation order is such that Toughness, a subtractive reduction, comes before Armor, a percentage reduction. Assuming that, post-Weaponskill, a Chosen's mitigation from armor in RoR is 50% (a generous estimate), you need to reduce the damage to 2 in order to be hit for 1. This means a reduction of 122.

Toughness mitigates styled damage by (Toughness/5) * casttime. Casttime for melee abilities is considered to be the GCD, 1.5 seconds.

Thus, the toughness required to remove 122 damage from a Gryphon's Lash is 406.

122 / 1.5 = x/5
122 / 1.5 * 5 = x
x = 406.

Please post now that you legitimately had 406 Toughness.

I don't need you to calculate anything - I know the formulas perfectly well. Unless you can demonstrate a legitimate way to attain 406 Toughness, I'm not interested in continuing this discussion.

Assuming I'm fully defensive, G'L hits for 108. You'd need 353 Toughness to be hit for 1. No matter how you spin it, it doesn't work.

Oh. On which base? The emulator is totally legal, no part of the code from any original source from mythic, EA, or any company has been used. On the other side, modifying the client is an infraction. And let me guess. Who is modifying it? Mmmm... players to connect on the emulator, when clicking on the launcher. So what do you want to tell to EA? That you can't "play" ( can we descently talk about playing on a "sandbox++" no offenses all of a game who doesn't exist anymore? That you have by your own choice, modified the client? Well, tell them your make an infraction ...

Yop, and RoR is a private server. the word " Private" isn't meaningless. You're not the owner. You're a guest. Do you pay anything? I don't think so. Do you have any right to complain? I don't think so. Your problem with Azarael doesn't concern anyone else than you and Azarael. So your complain here has no reason to be public. An adult would know that. Note nobody has deleted your posts. Feel free to reconnect at the end of your temp ban ( who isn't permanent btw), and enjoy the game.

But don't forget one think. You, and only you have made the choice to render your situation public, and your reputation on Ror by extension.
