Server Location
Server Location
I haven't had any really bad lag for a week or so but I do notice there is a second or two lag activating skills, like you would expect with a ping of around 300-400ms(in large groups) or ~150-200ms (solo). Some classes require low latency to play to their best ability, is this just something people in United States will have to deal with or are there any plans for a US based server?

Re: Server Location
There are no plans for a US server. That being said, unless you're in Australia, it should be 200ms at most for your connection to the server. Whether or not there's server lag is a different story, and everyone would suffer from that.
Re: Server Location
Servers are hosted in France.
To be honnest, we don't have the budget for having 2 servers (1 in France and 1 in US). Sorry about that, but for the moment, it'll stay like that...
Moreover, it would be necessary to have one in Russia and 1 in Australia for same latency reasons... And we aren't EA to have such a quantity of servers...

Re: Server Location
If I could play a game like Quake on dial-up with a ping of 300 ms, I can do it here in a game with a cool down system.Abolition wrote:Australian here - 320-350 ping represent!wargrimnir wrote:There are no plans for a US server. Re: Server Location
Would allowing us to queue abilities possibly help alleviate some of the issues with high ping?
Personally, most of my frustration comes from now being able to chain spells together due to the lag, but queueing them would alleviate that.
