No it wasn't just input buffer, you were able to use skills that often :)
You'd get out of AP really fast doing that, so it was a matter of choice & skill to manage your dps/burst while managing AP

Now you just mash the buttons without thinking about any of that lol

While i dont like it, im kinda curious to see how it will change the meta, so i'd give it a couple of weeks before reverting :)

wasn't it like this already? at least in bigger fights, not talking about 1v1 stuff since that is not primary focus of the game anyway.

That's just your assumption. I played for an hour at least. GCD change is horrible.

Yes and no, before you could time it to attack more often, sacrificing AP sustain for temporary DPS boost, now you just cant

If you were just mashing the buttons and timing it poorly the game would force you to full GCD, but then theres another issue - at some point in the past there was AP regen change that made it slightly slower than GCD so sometimes you'd skip AP tick even if you were waiting for full GCD as intended...

We are old people playing in a old game...i think the logic is perfect to nerf the GCD.

Great GCD patch. All the others lobbying to revert it is plain beautiful to see, this really fudged their kitting timestamps :) <3

I see the pros and cons behind that. If that's the case, I liked the more tactical/strategic portion of having a window of different GCDs. But I'm not going to raze the forums for a reversion just yet :P It would be nice if there was still a bit of an input buffer though. I've only tested it out for an hour of scs, but it's a clunky change and could do with some more fluidity at this current moment in time.

On a serious note, I don't play any rdps and "timestamp" class and playing Healer/Tank only for 4 months now and I hate this change for a large amount of reasons I written on a 2'nd page.
