The aoe hot strip would be a very good ability for largescale rvr certainly, but I don't think it would be sufficient on its own for smallscale rvr. The ability in 5 pt Vaul would have to be exceptionally good to warant bringing a DPS AM into a dps slot simply for the utility, and the issue arises that it's simply not unique to them because you could have brought a healer that likely had more points in vaul invested and thus brought a more powerful version of said utility.

Perhaps if we took one useless tactic in Gork and Asuryan trees and reworked it into something that would benefit single target damage a little more, an example being Forked Lancing, it would achieve viability in smallscale as a dps?

For example, it would transform Radiant Lance into the originally proposed single target version of the ability, increasing its single target damage slight and adding a guaranteed strip of 1 blessings for extra damage, or the previously suggested increased channeling speed.

Burst of Waaagh/Empowered Lores isnt really needed with the mechanic not using up multiple stacks. Its a core tactic so could be swapped in just before you head to a keep to play a 'niche' role.
AoE-KB ability on the group heal ability with tactic basically means removing AoE-KB altogether.
Its a leftover from a time when immunity wasnt as long and kb didnt give immunity to other cc. Who still specs this? Do they have spec points to burn? If you heal you spec silence. Its a 5s silence vs knocking people off walls.

Thats why I thought a 50% up time utility you can still bring a healer and chain them.
I also wouldnt have it as a scaling buff. More like WP 10% parry. So all specs get access to a good utility.
Increased Conductivity used to give a damage buff to some Asuryan abilities.

I think if a damage buff was attached to a 15% strikethrough it would be a little too strong, because a huge amount of power would be centralized in one single tactic.

It didnt have 15% strike-through then. 25% strike-through is overkill.

You may be right in that getting rid of the strikethrough in favor of a small damage buff would be beneficial. Forked Lightning is still useless, though, but that doesn't matter. Any thoughts on shaman?

Any tactic that buffs most of a tree needs to be at 11pt, thats why putting IC back to that makes more sense. FL at 3 only affects one ability. Its not total garbage either, it does make pve more bearable.

That's sensible, alright. So IC being 15% strikethrough is a valid target for a rework. What about shaman, though? They'll need a similar tactic to be viable.

Their tactic is good. Id rather see a ini debuff on Sticky Feetz for Shaman. Archmage get toughness, spirit and ini debuff. Shaman get 2 ele debuffs which is a leftover from when Archmage had 2 spirit. Archmage MotM is like a 4% crit puddle. When you have BW spamming aoe its quite a tool.

I think DPS Shaman is somewhat less viable than even DPS AM. It's strange, because they have so many great tools to make it work, but it is what it is. I would consider that a problem worth devoting attention to as long as DPS AM is being buffed.
