Re: Anyone else enjoy history?

I read my 1st history article on 9. It was about the battle of Hastings in 1066. Since then I really got fascinated and really enjoy reading what people did in the course of time. How they won, how they failed to conceive hat was really happenning around them, how luck and unexpected events changed the world. Atm I am reading about the US Civil War. The 1st machine guns were invented back then. The Total War doctrine was invented by Ullisses Grad. The 1st submarines were invened by the Union. And the 1st torpedoes ofc. My favorite topics are about exotic history though. Aztec empire and its downfall by Cortez: a 900 page book written by Prescott was more than informative. The Imjin War between Japan and Koryo from 1592-1598: It dwarfed all wars of that time in Europe. Millions died and from then on Japan and Korea have a grudhe to each other. The Mongols' rise and fall during the 13th century and more.
I will upload a photo of my bookcase.
