Is there a place to make those wicked forum sig banners I see flying around, or do you use photoshop or something?

I like my Jeff Goldblum but the free sites always brand my banners with their advertising. So annoying

Photoshop, Gimp or even Paint. Then you can use various browser sites that combine these images into a animated signature, thus it's not recommended from my sight of view because it can tear up the quality or give unwanted effects.
