Re: forcing player to join discord or get kick out of warbans
It looks like you are not trying to understand at all.
Some warbands want to organize themselves, so as to be more effective on the battlefield. They will therefore recruit a certain number of archetypes and communicate as much as possible (moral drop, flanking, inc, channeling synchronization, ...). Some warbands will do it thanks to an addon some other will do it thanks to Discord (or any vocal tools).
For some leaders, joining Discord is required if you want to stay in the warband. A simple and basic rule. But that's not true for all leaders. So, join a warband without Discord if this is too difficult for you or, as Yhani said, make your own.

i think is got some limite to have a organize randon warbans , from a open warbans , where you have random player with low level player and low rr with low level gear that sometime dont know how to play , i will be agree with you playing with a guild warbans where player play too a higt level , but is not the case here , sadly in my opinion is just toxic and push player aways from the game , looking the server population is very sad , i play war from day 1 on official release and have my 100 , and about this server for about 8 year and my character is about 82 rr
in my opinion i think the real issue some people in this server really have any courtesy in the end of the day is only a game too have fun , anyway i dont expect you understand have a good day or night going too sleep
Re: forcing player to join discord or get kick out of warbans
Some people have more fun when things are organized and efficient.in the end of the day is only a game too have fun
It's not because you don't want to do it that others can't enjoy it.
Re: forcing player to join discord or get kick out of warbans
Wow, someone is setting rules for their warband to be more efficient and most likely win more, which in result is more fun for everyone. You then don't agree with such rules and call this toxic? You signed up for an organized warband. If you don't like it, leave it.
Joining disc just to listen is minimal effort.

No one is forcing anyone to join them. You are free to form your own group always.

Re: forcing player to join discord or get kick out of warbans
idk i dont have time to play rvr aside from guild nights recently, but whenever i joined open warband never ever have i seen that leader is demanding people to come to discord. i remember a few times that there are leaders(like Lutz) who will be on discord, and would ENCOURAGE people to come to discord, but they wouldn't kick them if they decided not to. if you're trying to join wb from /1 or /5 chats then in almost every case they will require you to join their discord or they wouldnt be able to move and dps as efficiently.
if warband is not discord it cannot do 2 very important things: 1. morale bomb at same time at same target 2. quickly turn around, regroup, focus selected areas of fight - simply higher maneuverability.

Re: forcing player to join discord or get kick out of warbans
The two keypoints here are, you are not forced or obligated to join someones warband if you dont like how they run things. Either their calls, or if they ask you to listen on discord and you are unable or not in the mood to do so.
The other point would be, for the person who takes on the job of leading or forming a warband, that is not only a timeinvestment but also takes alot of management to sort group setups, cleanup any t1 warband who has level 16+ people joining and viceversa of removing people from below level 16 in t2+. Same for if someone is in a warband but then joins a scenario, that person is taking up a spot and not helping and can be removed.
The way I see this stricter approach is that you also provide a better warband, because the people you have in your warband get to have active players to play with near them and in range of eachother. You can then expect some sort of heals maybe if all of the groups have a healer, if noone is "distant" you can expect to have the full punch of a warband and more rewards or kills etc.
Manageing a warband is a task too few does, and too few does in a way to make it plesant to follow them. Wether its open warbands or closed warbands, the warbandbuilders bring the content from day to day. If someone increases the requirements for a warband, that usually means the rewards and performance is also increased potentially. Give the different warbands a chance and see who is worth joining an other time.
