Faction doesn't matter, you're just on the other side of the world is all. Ethernet would definitely help. A proper VPN might do you some good as well, the server is located in France if you go that route. Find one that's a couple dollars a month and test it out first, the free ones are all scams ...

I found a thread about server latency from way back in 2015 that says there's no plans for a US server and that latency should never be higher than 200ms "unless you're in Australia" :oops:
