The sheer number of new items to farm is staggering; I’m not sure it will be enough to retain players, given the lack of changes to the most important part of the game, RvR.

For truly competitive gameplay, everyone should have access to standardized gear. Give everyone the same equipment and leave customization to cosmetics. That way, wins and losses come down to skill, teamwork, and decision-making—not who has the better gear.

I find the game less fun in RVR, maybe playing it for to long, but the massive aoe dmg, most fight are: wait, aoe snare, aoe kd, instant death (not really fun either you're loosing or winning tbh)
Then the massive grind for fake content, like regrind genesis (only in zone bags, or 2 in weekend sc ...
