Don't you still have to run the RoR launcher each time you start the game?

Does anyone else have a problem with the launcher downloading all the game files frequently? I'm a new player, but installed the game last night and played for hours. Got up this morning and the launcher is re-downloading every game file... it's going to take hours again. Any idea what would cause ...
