Like others have said, they disengage and leave them alone... much like regen tanks. When I play my WL i refuse to fight them too. Nothing the WE can do.

I don't think changing Witchbrew to physical damage is the right way to go. It will end up hitting for very little and would completely compromise the DPS spec of the class.

You're telling us that, god forbid, WE might have to invest into weapon skill just like any non-caster dps? Outrageous ...

Many other classes have that slow ramp up as well. BW/Sorc/IB/Slayer/Choppa. Just because it is bad in 1v1 or 1v2 doesn't mean it is bad in group or warband play where you can easily reach full power.

I'm surprised that people are asking for more utility. The BG has a ton of utility. They have the strongest kd in the game with 5s. They have mega punt, they can have 5s cool down reduction for the group, they can have 50% block shield channel, they can have 25% block or disrupt with only one ...

Nobody except for WE/WH can effectively choose their fights the way you suggest. You just stealth or stagger > stealth. It comes back to how slippery the classes are and how they can get away from being caught/bad matchups in a way every other class can only dream of. IF ...
