So, what I'd look to do is give each tank (BO, BG and Chosen) basically the same tanking ability. Each of the three should be a viable endgame tank, regardless of what else they can do. So, we all get the same guard, punt, mitigations, taunts etc. You mean like Guard? Challenge? Hold the Line? Bell...

Except for the super elite tryhards, people wont really care whether you go s/b or 2h - they'll just be happy with any tank that stays within guard range. That is 100% correct. The most important abilities a shield tank has are universal to all tanks . Everything else is just the icing on the top. ...
