Return of Reckoning

I have disabled everything firewall wise, and still no dice. Do I need to do a fresh install?

I haven't played in over a year but I do have characters still on my account. I got everything patched and repaired but when I get to the screen where I'd normally see my characters it is empty. There is also a window that looks to be a dialog box but it is just black. When I log in I don't even see...
