Myself, as well as several others in my guild, have had their low level characters level reduced to level 1 following this last reset this morning. Also, one character, a WP, was gone, and replaced with another level 1 character with the same name of a different class.

Mine was doing the exact same thing. I tried all of the fixes that were discussed in the stickies, and just ended up deleting everything. I hope you have better luck than i did. If you fix it, tell us how.
