you are going to win and lose a lot keeps over time, don't let a loss get to you. there many paths to earn renown, if you can't win a keep for example, work on something else. swap zones, scenarios, an alt (a stealther if you don't already one).

I have dok/wp a little past 80. I don't favor one over the other. You don't have to limit yourself to just 2h, you can eventually have bis for all three paths.

I find shield priest is the only way I can deal with a WE, and even then all I can do is survive just long enough for them to get bored ...

Tested it and you do get purple for Red Eye, so purple talismans.

Just this week I at least thought I got purple fragment from Red Eye gear. Will try to do again soon.
