Yes, this way of playing is unbearable. Log out or come to the other side when you're fed up with these guys. Of course, it's not cheating, but it's sad for the server to see that instead of promoting great battles, they're having fun like this. We can only hope that the developers will change this ...

Yeah it's frustrating and not really fairplay, but you can make 1 party or 2 with bane shield / dire shielding chosens, I bet the WH will not live for a long time.
