I did a Windows Update: 2025-09 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5065789) (26100.6725) and now the game won't start with the Sildurs-launcher.bat. The .bat black window will open with the message:

Starting RoR-Launcher..
Setting up Directx 11 and ...

Glad it's working now.
I noticed a few more issues so I reworked most of it and also updated the old launcher, I think this should be the last update for a while unless I run in to some more issues and bugs: Sildur's ...

DoF is great, but is there option to adjust the distance of the blur? It is too close to character.

You mean from the ADOF shader? Uncheck performance mode at the bottom of reshade menu and you can manually adjust it, turn off "Enable Autofocus" and adjust "Manual focus depth" in the ADOF ...

I noticed the depth buffer sometimes flickers for a second while interacting with npcs so here's a hotfix, v7.1:

v6.0 was supposed to be the final update but I guess I got one more in me lol.
Upcoming version will filter out the UI so reshade won't affect it anymore and effects like AO work without blending issues, running on directx 11.

How can you even use OpenGL with this game outside of Linux?
Wine with its own builtin translation layer converts dx9/dx11 to OpenGL
to my knowledge there aren't any other layers that do that. There are only layers that translate stuff to vulkan or dx12 afaik

Yeah that's what I'm actually using ...

Great news for compiling all files in one download but mentioned above issues (vulkan crashing on zone change, dx11 not loading minimap dungeons) have been fixed?

Some of this issues are simply caused by different GPU vendors like Nvidia, amd and intel. Aswell as outdated gpu drivers. Vulkan ...

Main post has been updated with version 6.0. Adding support for DX11, DX12, OpenGL and Vulkan with reshade 5.6.0. Make sure to read the whole main post. This might be my last update on this, aside from binary updates. It includes pretty much everything that would ever be needed.
