Meddling with the renown ding is just treating the symptoms, not the solution. Epic defenses and takeovers are things of the past indeed. Black Guard for instance has a path dedicated to just that, but that seems mostly viable in small scale rvr and scs. I use one just for that and as tanks go below 40, it's pretty enjoyable.

I see you have 2 shield procs, are they working properly at the same time? Have you perhaps tried Waves of Chaos instead of Warped Flesh or that would chip away that little defensive edge the build needs to compensate for the relatively low Wound count?
