Re: WE 70+ vanq+ winnable fights?

You might be playing WE wrong. The best way is to get a group of at least 4 other WE/WH's, plus a tank and pocket healer. Then wait near a choke point or warcamp for single players to come by and jump them. If you are somehow not able to kill them, then either: Have the rest of your group run out fr...

Re: [FEEDBACK] - 3rd Twitch Drops event

I've really enjoyed the last two twitch drop events. Gives great exposure to the game and rewards those of us playing. Not sure what I would improve other than some of the descriptions/names of items so we send the right items to the character that would benefit the most. Honestly, you guys have don...

Re: RVR currency & leveling feedback

Agreed. I'm leveling up couple of new characters at the moment and the XP for CR is so painfully slow I've started dipping out of oRvR to kill mobs. I'm not that into scenarios so don't know if that would be better, but it's frustrating because I want to RvR.

Re: Which classes are overplayed?

In my opinion, Order needs more:
  • Sword Masters
  • Slayers
  • Engineers (with magnet)
  • Rune Priests
  • Archmage (heal spec)
Classes that are already well represented/common:
  • Knight of the Blazing Sun
  • Bright Wizard
  • Shadow Warrior
  • Warrior Priest

Re: [Knight / Warrior Priest] Questions

Warrior Priest is very useful in RvR and Cities for their group and AOE heals. They are fairly tanky so have good survivability. There are several specs you can choose from but the most used in RvR and Cities is the Salvation (backline healer) spec and it best used with a 1-hand hammer and tome (for...

Re: Healer Addon ?

Most healers use Enemy these days. If you are just getting started with it, you can configure it to show a few key things: Show the HOTs you have applied to people. This way you can keep track of who has what and when to reapply. See this thread for details on how to track the main HOTs for your cla...

Re: New player, order is getting absolutely clowned

It's hard to judge anything by Tier 1. When I first joined a few months ago, Destro was greatly outnumbering Order in Tier 1 for the first week and it was pretty miserable. But a few days later, Order had the higher pop. In general, the population shifts a lot so don't worry about what it is today. ...

Re: Addon Memory Usage or Allocation?

Does the garbage collector increase ui performance? I only used it briefly so can't say for sure. It probably helped, but I still had to use /reload pretty often to get over some issues. I think some performance issues have more to do with bad event handlers since there's that thread were the guy d...

Re: Addon Memory Usage or Allocation?

I thought an add-on like warboard (or maybe it was in VinyUI) had an option to display Lua memory and run garbage collection. If it does then I haven't seen it. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction if they do exist. Thanks for the response, it's at least a step in the right direction. ...
