Welcome to the game, it is exactly as you say, you can pve in peace or que up for scenarios/world pvp in the designated zones.

I totally agree with this post, we should give SW's more escapes like SH so that they can play on an equal footing. Good idea bro!

What I mean is a more significant one that will get more participation during the week for a fruitful reward like 20-40k renown and some emblems but the task is difficult like take a dwarf a high elf and an empire keep and slay x amount of players.
