I know that you guys are limited by what you can do in terms of custom additions to the game
But i would just like to make a suggestion towards the shards system.
Overall i like the idea, but i think that basing them dropping off of the targets renown level is a mistake.
Instead wouldnt it make more sense if the shards were based on your own renown level.
So lets say that you are renown rank 60. You have an X % chance to get an invader shard on kill.
The lets say at idk renown 80 you have an X % chance to get a Royal shard on kill.
Another idea with this could be giving us a reason to push for higher renowns other than a mask.
Could be something like
renown rank
80: 1% chance to get a shard on kill
81: 2% chance to get a shard on kill
82: 3% chance to get a shard on kill
85: 5% chance to get a shard on kill 1% chance to get 2 shards
Just an idea. No clue if possible.
And before people say "but then people are just gonna run around in groups and kill me". Isnt that the whole point of this game ?

No thanks. These should be rewards for fighting "harder" opponents (i.e., higher RR) -- not for some RR85 person to farm fresh lvl 16s for shards.
