So what are peoples opinons about Warhammer End times?
I found it very underwhelming. Not going to post spoilers since people havent read about it yet. But I just felt so disapointed.

Re: Warhammer End times
Very hard to talk about without ruining it for people but yeah it was a bit underwhelming but I'm not going to judge it til we see where they are going with the 9th edition.

Re: Warhammer End times
The surprise is, so I'm not going to reveal anything. Personally, Games Workshop perfectly rendered honor to Warhammer. The epic duels that have waited were there, battles were grandiose (Glory to the Lizardmen !) and Evil has definitely proven that he was not there just to look pretty.
By cons, how will they manage it afterwards ? The rumors are rife... It seems that the tabletop game continues to evolve, while a sequel to The End Times would take the form of a skirmish game.
So this is what I think : The End of Times' story was excellent, but Games Workshop would be wrong to throw away the Warhammer universe as we know it.

Re: Warhammer End times [Spoiler]
I am.... Disapointed with end times for a few reasons the primary one being that GW went all gorge rr Martin and killed off malus darkblade so..... **** you GW Q.Q
Secondly I didn't like the writing style of at the deathblade and curse of khaine; what I enjoy about wfb fight in books is the very up class and visceral nature of the combat but in those books the fights were done from mainly a large overview mainly to show off the largeness and scale of the conflict furthermore it was my first chance to read of post sundering malekith and that too to read it from his pov but his dialog in the book is soo....bad; his sword gets broken and he "snarls and says I regret nothing"....seriously? And he's not the one to kill tyrion but rather they pull some grimgor ironhde crap from SoM and have the shadow king kill him?
The thing that pisses me off though is the ending a straight up ROFLSTOMP by chaos

Re: Warhammer End times [Spoiler]
The victory of Chaos has become a classic for Games Workshop ...
In fact, fans are rather disappointed, I think. GW never should rewrite the Storm of Chaos! In the End Times, Archaon beats :
-Valten
-Karl Franz
-Grimgor Boît'En Fer (I do not know his name in English ...)
Seriously ? In Storm of Chaos, the logic of the universe had been followed : Archaon is tied with Valten and Grimgor is the best... All the old stories were swept away !

Yeah and Nagash, I mean it was awesome that he allied in the end. But they way they killed him felt so badly written

Re: Warhammer End times [Spoiler]
Nagash died ? I did not understand it that way... It will perhaps return (Again, that's why we love it !) ?
What I find distasteful is the lack of attention to the "small" Factions : Bretonnians, Chaos Dwarfs, Ogres... I think we do not do them justice.

Re: Warhammer End times [Spoiler]
From what I understood was that when the rift opened upp fully all magic got sucked in to it. So Nagash just whirted and became dust

Re: Warhammer End times [Spoiler]
Nagash is hilarious in some ways to me, he is one of the coldest and cruelest characters in warhammer...EVER, as evil as the gods of chaos hell; when you have someone that can out **** Dark elves you know hes cold blooded and when he "eats" that dwarf god he scared the crap out of the chaos gods but when he gets destroyed at the end the chaos gods just laugh wondering why the were ever scared of him.
