[Megathread] How to install Return of Reckoning

New player here.

I tried to install the game but I keep getting a message that the installer cannot find the art.myp file. I extracted the files separately and then ran the rorlauncher.exe. That worked on one of my computers but not another.

I tried extracting to different drives and different folders. No luck.

Suggestions?

Hello, I downloaded the game via the given link. The installation is done well, I install Directx9, I launch the launcher but when clicking on Connect I have this error message: Could not find the procedure entry point _BinkSetVolume@12
Any solution?

I'm facing a similar problem but instead its the video.myp file, I'm downloading it via the direct download option. I noticed some odd things during download though which may or may not be related. 1st thing is that the compacted files finishes downloading at 9.6GB instead of 15.6GB as the file transfer site says its supposed to be 15.6GB. 2nd thing is that the compacted file cant be opened, idk why that happens since all other compacted files ive seen before usually are openable, instead windows sends an error message because the file is "invalid". 3rd thing is that upon starting to extract the files 7zip(the extraction application im using) weirdly doesnt start loading anything or showing any analytics(file size and other details) until some sort of error pops up on the 7zip console which says something similar to "unexpected empty data"(?) or something like that and starts working normally until it tries to extract the video.myp file and fails to extract it and completes the extraction. after this I open the installer and it installs until an error message pops up saying the video.myp is missing and thus it cant continue and closes the installer

EDIT: I downloaded an earlier version(May 2024) of the installer files it seems to have worked, you can download that one from the 1st message of this thread for some reason they havent replaced that link with the new one on the download page(December2024)
