AH mail bugged

Hey,

There seem to be some sort of bug with AH mail on one of my chars - I bought a load of stuff for different toons (19 items) and AH mail tab says 'No Messages', even though it's telling me in chat box I've got 19 msgs in auction mail box.

I tried relogging and deleting all the mail in inbox in case it was full or something, and bought something cheap to try it but still the same, although the chat msg is right and has gone up to 20, so it is registering somewhere apparently!

Also tried buying up to 20 cheap items on a diff char to see if that was the max but it's working fine on that one.

Last thing I tried was logging a diff char and buying one of my own items (from toon that's bugged): this time a msg *did* appear in AH inbox saying auction complete but there was no money and no 'take items' tab.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance

You could try using the Packet logger to sniff the packets while you're trying buying something with your bugged character. Then make a bug report on github including the log file.

I just tried this but mine just arrived in proper fashion. :/

It could be an isolated bug that won't affect everyone. Like for example, on one of my characters, any items I put up for sale don't appear in the sell tab. But they can still be bought by others

Yeah would like to do that Elven if it might help prevent it in future.. only problem is my complete lack of knowledge about that stuff Will try though. Is http://www.war-emu.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=7 the right place to get the packet logger? And is the log file you upload called something like 'sniff_h11m18.txt'?

And yeah think it is isolated, doesn't affect my other char fortunately!

Update: Same thing, different char. I tend to use one toon to farm gear/put things I don't need on AH, as well as buy gear to send to other chars, so maybe there's a limit per char or something? Lost another cloak and a BG helm plus various other stuff - so yh this is partly a plea for sympathy

Will stop using it for a while I think, at least for expensive stuff!

Any update on this? Same thing just happened to me. It started last night on Xanax -- But AH works just fine on all of my other toons.

On Xanax, it shows that I have 5 unread messages from the AH, but when I go into my AH mail there are only four messages, already read, with no option to collect the money. I'm not able to cancel my auctions successfully. If I try that, it'll will add to my unread AH message total, but the message and item won't be in my auction inbox.

Please let me know if I can post anything that will make this easier to solve. I have more than 100 items up for auction on this toon and stand to lose a lot of stuff. Many thanks.

@Xanax Only just saw that, did you find any fix? I posted it on Github a few weeks ago and Max said he'd look into it so I don't know if he couldn't find the problem or just hasn't had time yet with everything else there is to do.

Github report's called "Not receiving AH mail" if ya wanna post anything there.
