No character creation after launching game

I get this error code when I connect through the launcher the game loads up but no character creation just a black box in right corner and the setting, quit and cinematic buttons. I saw the sticky saying to use a different launcher but when I click on link I dont know what to do from there I'm not very computer savvy but I really want to play this game.
