After spending hours browsing forums and asking people in-game for help on this subject, I decided to post this forum-thread as a last cry for help. A friend of mine(dorm mate) is trying to access the game, but gets stuck in the Main Menu where only the "Cinematic", "Options", and "Exit" tabs shows. As mentioned, we've spent some time browsing forums, and all the things that has seemed to work for other people does not work for him. We've tried things such as; re-downloading the game multiple times from both the torrent download and mega, transferred the files from my computer via an USB-stick, removing writing-protection from the files, moving the files to different locations on the PC, disabling both anti-virus and firewall, running both launchers as administrator, running elven's "cmd-procedure", and downloaded JeFawk's "library-rebuild", but nothing seems to be helping.
After running the last-mentioned library-rebuild, the error upon launch were shown no longer, but nothing else had changed.
We are about to run out on both ideas and faith in that anything can work, so some help would really be appreciated.
