I saw someone using /partynote when searching for people for a dungeon group, and I thought maybe a small addon could make this even easier.

PartyAd - Quick recruiting + /partynote helper

PartyAd is a lightweight addon that means to make it easier to search for wanted roles in your groups.

What it does

• Set role targets: Tank / Healer / DPS
• Choose a party purpose (preset or custom text)
• Update `/partynote` in one step
• Clear `/partynote` when needed
• Advertise in `/5` with the current missing roles

Typical flow

• Set your targets and purpose
• Update `/partynote`
• Advertise in `/5`
• Repeat as people join so messages stay accurate

Nice addon to help wb leaders stating explicitely what they want (i.e. Autoband etc.).

Is that possible to get a reduced interface with like Update / Full interface / Advertise 3 buttons in small icons on a moveable UI window ?
This way we wont have to constantly open the addon to advertize/update ?

Hey! That could definitely be done, but this AddOns "target" was for parties, wbLeadHelper already can do what you ask for (except for the partynote-stuff).

PartyAd 0.2.0

I've seen some people using PartyAd in-game, so I thought it should get an update while we're waiting for the highly anticipated Dungeon Finder teasing us from the Scenario Lobby window. Here's a poor man's replacement.



Added a /5 Candidates window. When enabled, PartyAd watches LFG chat while the PartyAd window is open and lists likely solo players looking for a group. It shows matching LFG lines and discovered players separately, while trying to ignore group recruitment spam like LFM messages and groups looking for more roles.

Highlights

• New optional /5 Candidates side window for finding solo LFG players.
• Shows matching LFG chat lines and discovered characters separately.
• Filters out many recruiter/group-forming messages.
• Better support for using detected party roles or direct needed-role targets.
• Cleaner tooltips and general UI polish.

PartyAd still focuses on one thing: making it easier to find groupmates for your parties. Hope someone finds it useful!
