I see alot of folks not taking 'Warping the spirit' - seems like an extremely powerfull defensive tactic ?
Why not take that one ? its not 'that' much armor in T4 ?

It's a powerful tactic for sure, but it comes down to preference. Some prefer the morale gain tactic, and others the absorb tactic though it doesn't mean they won't run it against a melee train it's merely what tactic is best suited for what situation. Normally the morale gain, or the absorb from dark rites is preferred as they are more universal for a general situation unlike warping the spirit where it's only useful on squishies with low armour against physical damage dealers.

That's why yes.

But if you play with PUGs, lots of people don't use potions. If premade you should'nt need this tactic I guess.

Willpower actually becomes more and more important atm as dps seem to be on the rise. Other healer classes have also been toned down the last couple months and I can't even keep up with my DoK at dps races anymore. Even with full Guard and Challange up in the groups and maximizing burst healing rotations with good defensive gear DoK can't keep up and are forced into more Willpower based build and can't really go into melee range anymore to regain resources due to loss of surviabillity.
Zealot's and RP's still have it very good in terms of healing output. But the lacking of the other healers kinda force Zealots aswell into less defensive and more healing builds and learn to play more mobile.
You really need to get more willpower these days.

Just some general stuff:

1) As other said already, but can't be emphasized enough: Don't give a damn about pugs being pugs.
2) Don't invest into willpower, take what you get for free but thats about it. It has one of the - if not THE - worst returns of all stats. Aim for wounds for all formats, toughness and armor for scenarios - don't neglect initiative, if you min/max and have to choose between certain set items you should value initiative more than other stats if the stats on the pieces you choose from are equal otherwise.
3) Don't try to top off everyone 24/7, especially not with skills that chew through your AP or waste gcds, more often than not a HoT does the trick just fine - work on your general awareness, e.g.: theres no point using anything but HoTs on people that aren't in range or are otherwise not going to be targetted.
You'll just risk being stuck in a gcd cycle or without enough AP to properly heal through actual bursts ~ keep your derps at 50-75% and take care of the rest via HoTs, pay attention to enemy dps/general flow and time your heals accordingly.
4) Don't spam HoTs/Flashheal, prehot before engagements so that your ooc AP regen kicks you back up to max to have enough AP to heal through initial burst. Heal through bursts by using your HoTs->Big Heal->Flashheal, take your time and practice it; don't just spam flashheal - see 3), you want to be able to see targetswaps/bursts coming.
5) ALWAYS keep moving, even if you majorly lack awareness make it look as if you didn't... - Most mdps and even rdps will only reluctantly jump you if theres people around that do not telegraph constant awareness. Work on your positioning in general ~ no amount of wounds/toughness/armor will help you if you find yourself out of position.

On focus i only spam flashheal together with hot, course of crit and absorb. Two Seconds Cast Time mostly means Dead. More instaheals means more bubbles and more ap left.

Hence timing heals - 8/10 incoming burst you can spot ages in advance, having the 2s cast take care of the initial spike helps alot in terms of stabilizing people. Keeping them at high percentages by virtue of the big cast followed up by flashheal drastically reduce the risk of morales and alike chewing through the remaining pefcentages you'll find yourself keeping your target at, if you rely entirely on flashheal/do not properly pay attention to enemy movement and such.

The only environment in which it is feasible to rely entirely on flashheal is 6v6, given the nature of targetswaps. Everything >6 and especially everything that features pug opposition a cast is worthwhile, especially with atleast semi-competent offhealers.
