Hoeth Build talismans
Got my invader armor and will be trying out a Hoeth build. After looking at the warlord armor for Hoeth the bonuses are both strength and weapon skill. For a 2H SM in heavy Hoeth build for back line disrupts and harassment of casters which talisman should I be using? Strength or weapon skill? thanks.

Re: Hoeth Build talismans
another question regarding Hoeth/Kain build, what renown skills should I be spending my renown points on?
Re: Hoeth Build talismans
If you want to do damage you should slot strength talis since most skills do spirit damage and therefore don't profit from weapon skill.
2H SM with "heavy hoeth" doesn't sound like a particularly good choice for backline caster harassment though. You're missing out on two very disruptive skills in the vaul path (redirected force and crushing advance) and without the +2 sov/wl bonus you can't really spec ED and WW together. So you will also lack the damage of ED.
Also do you want to use your invader armor for this? That would mean letting 10% block (3% shoulders, 2% ring and 5% set bonus) plus the 6 pieces on block proc going to waste when going 2H.

Re: Hoeth Build talismans
backline disrupt is a job for the dps.
tank should escort mdps there and rescue them out if needed.
watching solo tank on healer is so depressing. especially when your own backline is crumbling.
though I also made this mistake a lot.
it's something hard to avoid.
in the perfect scenario where tanks/heals are plenty, you can be dps tank doing whatever you want. anything will look like viable. full str tali or w/e.
worst case, you'll be only tank in pug and
melt like paper while full of rdps running away.
perfect : worst ratio could be 1:9
you can increase chance if running in premade.
in premade, you have to provide WW, guard and challenge. maybe assist dmg too.
dead SM can't do that.
so I'm currently on balanced stats.
2 str, 3 tough, 1 armor tali.
but wait for other advices about how good full str SM are.
choose after hearing them.
