Hey every1 im kinda new in this game and i lvl up an Archmage for my main. While my class is clearly a healing class i asked other people ingame about his dps nature and told me that AM makes a superb damage class aswell. So decided to cr8 a build since i cant see one in the forum: http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=am; ... 3440:3450:
Meanwhile im 15 lvl -Arafinwe ingame name if any1 wants to give me some tips- and i cant test it... but i predict that my char will have decent damage compared to a natural DPS class and will have Super c control in his game. As for renown i think 30x points on crit and rest 10x on int.
Any other ideas or tips since im an apprentice AM for the moment?

Go Dissipating Energies instead of MoM, make friendly with a Swordmaster and WP equipped with PoR tactic, and experience true power!.
Re: [Archmage] full DPS build (AM DD)
Take Discerning Offense instead of Centuries of Training.
In the current "disrupt everything around" setup this tactic is crucial. And trust me, 10% is a lot.
Everything else seems fine.

Is Dissipating Energies rly worth since it has 1 min cd and the ability doesnt seem to be so op to justify the 1 min CD . Yet i havent see that in action. Thx for the tip

You want to get as much damage as you can in as few timestamps. So yes anything that backloads your burst is a big benefit.nolofinwe1991 wrote:Is Dissipating Energies rly worth since it has 1 min cd and the ability doesnt seem to be so op to justify the 1 min CD . It's definitely worth it - particularly if you are grouped with a Swordmaster. Essentially, you want to put it on him after he has debuffed everyone around him. DoT the target(s), and watch the numbers fly. It's very impressive damage if you can use it right.nolofinwe1991 wrote:Is Dissipating Energies rly worth since it has 1 min cd and the ability doesnt seem to be so op to justify the 1 min CD . Yes, MoM is good, but I prefer to have a damage steroid and harder hitting dots/DD.
