Question about MAW fortress

So this is the THIRD time I have missed a MAW fort. I spend all day clearing Praag, then Chaos Wastes, getting bags on each siege, and occasionally spending money on siege equipment. I thought I would be safe with the queue but this seems to not be the case anymore. From what I can tell people just wait for the fort to spawn then quickly log their toons on and hop over the border and get into the queue without ANY work being done.

Am I doing something wrong? I thought there were reservations if you were in a warband and did the work. Literally 6+ hours of work down the drain each time. Is hanging out on the zone border really the only option at this point? There has to be a fix for this. I am not doing this work for someone else to reap the reward while I get locked out again. If that's the only way then that's what I will do, screw the BO's.

It's getting really old how people are cheesing this game more and more.

If you are level 40, and actively participating in the zone prior to pushing the fort (CW in this example), you should have no problem getting a reservation and getting into the fort. Is this on a sub 40 character, by chance?
