I cannot chat?

I just tried it with my brother who I am in voice chat with - he doesn't see my tells and I am getting proper ignored in all other channels (lol) so I'm pretty sure they can't see me either.

What's going on?

I'm guessing a GM probably applied the mute to you because your use of public chat was inappropriate somehow.
