i just saw a Post in another forum that made me think that i'll should invest a few minutes to make a small "guide"

So the game comes with a handful of pre-installed Addons which you most likely wont use anyway. The first thing what you gonna see once you log in though, will be this annoying little square button in the middle of your Screen. This is our first sh*t addon that we wanna get rid of.
So what should we do? Press Escape or the Warlogo on top of your screen and go to Customize Interface and press on the Mods/Addons button.
First of all we going to disable All Addons and just pick the handful of Addons we really wanna use. For starters this should be Squared, Buffhead and maybe Groupicons. So we look for those in the List and hit the checkbox and press Okay.
Once we have done so, we will probably have a GroupSG window popping up (which you can simply close for now) and a small colorful Button appears close to our Minimap. This is for editing squared. Press it so a small green box with your name appears and then right click the squared button to show its options and maneuver to the misc options and enable the Test Mode in it, to get a small insight on how its going to look later with groups.
After that we will press Esc again and go back to the Customize interface Button. This tme we will use the Layout Editor though.
First of all we will disable all the unneded Standardwindows for Groups and SC parties since we are using squared now. So press the Windows button and search for "Party Members", "Scenario Party #1-6" , "Warband Group #1-4" and click on the Hidden Buttons besides them all.
Close the Window Browser window and now look for the "Squared Anchor" on your screen and just drag'n'drop it to wherever you want to have it. It should be buried under some of the Hidden (or Groupicons) Windows close to your Own Healthbar on the top of the screen. Also dont forget to disable the Testmode in the misc options of Squared again, once you finished playing around with it.
Finally your basic UI should look similar to this
Groupigons and Buffhead dont really need to be modified in any way for the beginning, since the presettings of the Addons are quite selfexplanatory. Buffhead will just show all Buffs and Debuffs above your and your enemies head and will help you get a clearer View on what is happening with you.
Groupicons is not really needed, but may help you get a bit better View on where your Party/Warband members are all around and can be helpful in bigger Battles. For me this Addon is causing some strange Lags though, so use it and see for yourself if its better to disable it. Of course you can also play around with the squared settings to make it a bit more appealing. Heres what mine looks like:
