I don't know what has changed exactly.
Ok yes I can see Grenade turret +5% hitpoints and flame turret +10% hitpoints. Range is like now.
What where the pet resistances bevore that?
What was Dps before?
Had they armor before?

Re: [Pet Update] Some Questions

Re: [Pet Update] Some Questions
Stats were all over the place before.
In the current build:
The armor and resistance values, with the exception of the turrets and daemons, are the same.
The HP values and handling are different. The HP factors are:
- Spiked Squig: 60%
- Gas Squig: 60%
- All other pets: 70%
Those HP values, unlike the HP values I list in the new breakdown, refer to the caster's base Wounds, plus the Wounds from items, only. Any kind of bonus from the summon buff goes on top of that. This is not the case with the new breakdown, in which those summon buffs are factored in, so a pet listed as having a hit points factor of 50% has 50% of your Wounds, at all times, under all conditions.
For Engineer and Magus in particular, long-range pets will be less durable. Gun Turrets and Pink Horrors will drop from having more wounds than the Engineer and Magus to having half the Engineer or Magus' Wounds value. Close range pets, conversely, only have a slight HP nerf and have more armor.
As for DPS? I mentioned that. At the moment, pets use a weapon of 100 DPS, which is better than epic endgame two-handed weapons. That wasn't intended and it's breaking SH in particular very badly.

Re: [Pet Update] Some Questions
The base range of Spiked Squig is now 65ft, does 'Shooting Wif Da' Wind' affect it?
Re: [Pet Update] Some Questions
As white Lion pets die relatively fast leading to major dps drop of their handlers for at least the next 30sec, wouldn´t a raise in their armor not also be something to consider? I´m not good in theocrafting, just wondering when the close combat pets of other classes get a raise...
As for longrange pets dying faster now, the stacking buff for magus and engies being near their demons/turrets will vanish more often, not sure im to hyped about that idea... lets try.

SWDW affects the caster only.Teefz wrote:The base range of Spiked Squig is now 65ft, does 'Shooting Wif Da' Wind' affect it?
Resummon interval for a WL pet is 15 seconds.Noergl wrote:As white Lion pets die relatively fast leading to major dps drop of their handlers for at least the next 30sec, wouldn´t a raise in their armor not also be something to consider? WL pets inherit their master's armor, resistances, initiative and most of their Wounds, regardless of stance.

Re: [Pet Update] Some Questions
So the Turret/Deamon changes are an engie/Magus nerf?
Less HP, Armor which doesn't help against Sorcs/Bw and -75% damage?
Was the 100dps from the turret/squiggy wrong/different than life?

Re: [Pet Update] Some Questions
We have no idea what statistics pets had on live, but the 100 DPS was a mistake. I'll say it again - 100 DPS is a higher value than on even the most powerful two-handed weapon in the game, to my knowledge. It's a wrong value and it is causing pets to inflict horrific amounts of damage.
For the Gun Turret and Pink Horror, this is a nerf, yes. I doubt too many will be upset given that I still get complaints about Engineers.

Re: [Pet Update] Some Questions
Very much so. I can't remember which option it was, but turrets either inherited their owner's main-hand DPS, or had the standard DPS rating of an NPC of the player's level. I'll look for a source, but I don't expect to find one and you can take this with a grain of salt. There are problems with both options.Glorian wrote:Was the 100dps from the turret/squiggy wrong/different than life?
