So i was farming in my Magus in the Ch4 of Dark Elf, like many ppl do, to get gear, and i was killed by an Archmage called Lame. I thought " omg, that was a big fail, i allways turn off my flag here", so i adviced other that he was there waiting for them to have low health then kill them. Anyways i can hardly believe i forgot to do so there, cause in PvE mode i allways turn it off and try to wait if possible.
Respawned and returned. I really thought he wasnt there anymore. Turned my flag again off (using /rvr) and waited for it to turn off.
Then, when i was completely unflagged, the guy came again and tried to attack me, but i was unflagged.
The guy entered my AoE area in purpose to get me flagged again and then killed me again.
I can only call this meta-play or god-mode, as long i was not flagged, and he knew of cause he tried to attack me, at half health and he was super-geared.
Is this the way we gonna have the game be played? Full of ppl that are simply annoying to other ppl fun? Finding the fun in pissing off others?
This behaviour should be publicaly displayed, cause i wasnt able to record it, but when ppl read his name again, they will turn on the record and get proves to get this player banned.
ALL WAYS OF META-PLAY should be publically displayed. These guys deserve not the good work the dev team are doing.
EDIT REASON: Typos
Archmage Bully and general Bad Behaviour

Re: Archmage Bully and general Bad Behaviour
Kind of making a mountain out of a molehill here. He killed me too, but like I said, if I had thought of that earlier I would probably be off doing the same. You always gotta be alert in Warhammer, it is mainly about the RvR afterall.
To be honest I found it rather amusing.

Re: Archmage Bully and general Bad Behaviour
Yeah that is crummy Ototo. No less like ganking lowbies in Stranglethorn Vale; however, I'm not sure there is much that can be done short of reporting the player for unsportsmanlike behaviour- that is unless something is eventually coded to have a character's AoE spells only affect an enemy player if they themselves are flagged.
I'm not sure I'd describe it as meta-play or god-modding, as those are terms typically applied in the role playing scene. That doesn't make it any less crappy though. Maybe next time the foe rears his head, call for some backup in [Advice]. Your allies should jump at the chance to bash in elven skull.

Re: Archmage Bully and general Bad Behaviour
alyways be unflagged and don't use AoE while farming, so he can't turn you into flagged
allthough this guy must be a real Sh*tface. those kinda players shouldn't be able to join a MMO game

Re: Archmage Bully and general Bad Behaviour
gear is annoying difficult enough to get as it is only for crap like this to happen yo know whats worse though? full geared ordo players killing new players just trying to lvl p but ordo wh's like to stealth into chaos ch 3 at attack players farming the boars or the flagellates in the pq

Re: Archmage Bully and general Bad Behaviour
Killed while PvEing in a PvP game.

Re: Archmage Bully and general Bad Behaviour
I cant tell if your acctully siding with him or mocking the OP's legitimate complaint. The actions by the individual accused is bad mannered to say the least just because war is a pvp game at its core dosnt mean that it dosnt have pve elements their are degingnated areas for fighting and farming to intentionally force a fight with a player who dosnt want to fight, who you can blatantly tell has no interest in fighting is stupid and unsportsmanlike.Zegota wrote:Killed while PvEing in a PvP game.

OP made 2 rookie mistakes: pve'd while flagged and aoe'd a flagged enemy player. And then he made a qq thread. And lo and behold, Bludfist joined a whine circle jerk.
This is happening in the game since launch. I never did it, but I don't have a problem with it cause you should never be safe in this game. Unless you're in a warcamp, hub or capital.

He intentionally entered my AoE area. My intention was to not engage in PvP.Zegota wrote:OP made 2 rookie mistakes: pve'd while flagged and aoe'd a flagged enemy player. And then he made a qq thread. And lo and behold, Bludfist joined a whine circle jerk.

(Hopefully this time its completely clear to you)
Im not crying, man, im enraged that ppl its working FOR FREE to get this up, and still ppl cant bear a minimum etiquette of gameplay. A exploit to PvP with ppl that arent gonna engage with u cause they dont want and, cause of that, are flagged as PvE its still a way of harasshing.
Saying that bullying happens and allow it are QUITE A LOT diffeent things. I remind u that these are, basically, the same players that enter the Warcamps to kill ppl in safe zones. There are no different objectives in it. Its basically engage in PvP with a person that flagged himself as no PvPer for whatever the reason, like me unflagging, and like ppl in WCs entering the safe zone.
