Hello everyone,

For the previous few days, streamers and bloggers were talking about the Return of Reckoning's new digital milestone: Twitch Drops. Here is the initial information you need to know as a player or a streamer. I will split this topic into 2 sections, Section 1: Viewers and Section 2: Streamers.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to comment below. Below this post, I will add a list of Frequently Asked Questions, gathered from our forums, social media accounts and Reddit.

Section 1: Viewers
As some of you know, Twitch has agreed to enable Twitch Drops for Return of Reckoning. This awesome feature will be live for a weekend, starting from Friday 31 July - 12:00 Altdorf time. After this weekend, we will analyse the outcome, receive feedback and decide how often should it be repeated and what can we do to adjust it.

We have prepared the system that will allow you to link your Return of Reckoning account and your Twitch account. Doing that, will make you eligible to watch your favorite RoR streamers and then claim the rewards as you go through hours of watching. The hours will stack up.

This video will guide you through the linking procedure:

Click here to watch on YouTube

Linking both of the accounts is done on our forums, right over here.

We have invited some streamers and others have willingly applied to gain access to Twitch Drops. Below you can find the link that shows you which channels are currently approved to receive Twitch Drops. But first, I'd like to clarify that not all the channels will receive access to Twitch Drops. We choose from the community's favorite channels, we choose from the channels who have applied to join the program and, we also choose from channels who are dedicated to the community/game.

You can check the frequently updated list of streamers with Twitch Drops access here.

Section 2: Streamers
If you are a streamer and you didn't see your name on the list, fear not. We haven't excluded you. We just picked a small number of streamers in order to test the Twitch Drops and receive feedback from these approved streamers.
If you would like to join the Affiliate Streamer program, supporting Return of Reckoning project and being supported back, please let us know. There are no restrictions to who can apply, however not every streamer will be accepted for reasons we will surely discuss with you, on your application post.
The Affiliate Streamer program also has an option for streamers to receive exclusive content to be shared on their respective channels or to host future events on the server.

If you'd like to apply, please use our Affiliate Streamer Application. Application posts are private.

Good luck with the rewards!

Twitch Drops: Frequently Asked Questions
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Q: What are Twitch Drops?
Spoiler:
A: Twitch Drops is a feature that allows you to win in-game loot by watching your favorite streamers or any other channel with Drops enabled. Your rewards are based on several sets of rules: For example, when you hit 2 hours view-time, you get X reward. 3 hours view-time, you get Y reward.
Q: Why were Twitch Drops enabled for Return of Reckoning?
Spoiler:
A: We have requested and enabled Twitch Drops in an effort to support the streamers helping this project and its player-base, as well as bring the community closer to the digital world. Twitch Drops, ads and anything happening on Twitch serves and profits streamers only, never the project. The RoR project has zero intentions of any sort of direct or indirect profit and refuses any sort of donations.
Q: How do I receive the rewards?
Spoiler:
A: Rewards are claimed on Twitch. After claiming the reward from Twitch, the game delivers that reward to you by in-game mail.
Q: Am I be able to choose which character will receive the rewards?
Spoiler:
A: Yes, you will be able to choose what character receives the rewards by visiting your account on this site.
Q: Do I have to be online in-game to claim the rewards?
Spoiler:
A: No, you simply have to be watching. You can claim the rewards while being offline in-game. Don't keep unclaimed rewards and don't forget that mails are wiped in-game.
Q: What are the rewards?
Spoiler:
A: The rewards will always vary from one event to another, with some famous rewards surviving the purge. Streamers will always be the ones who have the rewards list, so make sure you ask them on their streams.
Q: Does Twitch Drops affect/delay in-game development/bug fixes/balances?
Spoiler:
A: Twitch Drops will never affect any ongoing development, fix or balance patch. The people who work on everything digital are not tasked with in-game to-do's.
Q: What if my favorite streamer isn't on the list?
Spoiler:
A: Please go ahead and inform them about the affiliate program. We'll discuss it with them and do our best to assist their channel.
Q: What sort of event is it? Weekly? Monthly?
Spoiler:
A: The event is simply related to you watching streamers on Twitch, receiving rewards and gaining access to a chain of quests that requires you and other viewers to team-up with your streamer. We're currently enabling Twitch Drops for this single weekend of Friday 31 July. Afterwards, we will analyse the insights, receive your feedback and see if the program is liked enough to be repeated. We currently have plans for weekly (weekend-only) Twitch Drops but as I said, it depends on the initial test.
Q: Do I have to watch the same streamer to accumulate the rewards?
Spoiler:
A: Some rewards require you to watch the same streamer, other rewards require accumulated hours between all the approved channels. Third and final rewards set is based on pure RNG whilst watching any approved streamer.
Q: Does following or subscribing increase the chances for random drops?
Spoiler:
A: Following or subscribing has no effect on your chances of getting random drops.
Q: Does watching a streamer with lower viewers increase the chances for random drops?
Spoiler:
A: All Twitch streams have an equal chance of giving these random drops. It's basically an internal system with a percentage that is not related to the number of viewers.
Q: Do we have to unlink and relink when swapping between streamers?
Spoiler:
A: Your Twitch account and your Return of Reckoning account need to be linked only once. The link remains until you manually remove it. Even if Twitch Drops will not be every single weekend, the linking procedure will be saved.

Can you clarify what an "event" is in this context? e.g. a weekly thing, month-long campaign, changed at-will, etc?

Basically we want to have a test run this weekend. That being said, we have the plan and are interested to have a weekly Twitch Drop event but we want to be sure about everything related to in-game rewards, streamers and players reviews, etc.

To clear the image for you: This weekend you will be able to watch streamers, claim rewards and take them from your in-game mailbox. There are also chain quests which will allow you and other viewers to group up with the streamer and go through that quest with him.

After that you link your accounts together, and after that you claim a reward on Twitch, you will be able to visit your account here and it'll give you an option to send the claimed reward to your desired character.
