It's time to boost pop, isn't it?

Hello everyone,
I don't know if you've noticed, but the population at the beginning of September is not back to what it was before the 2 months of summer (in EU prime time).
Is it possible to organize a call, a call to arms, an event to bring back some people, some old leads (Deban Evilspiner? Talk to Guffrip to get Freebootazz back?).
Instead of Mute Troma on the discord, talk to him about a role-play event?
For several months now, the community has been encouraging you, to the best of your ability (we know you're volunteers), to give RVR a new lease of life! But evenings with just 600 people, 3 cities... that's unfortunately not enough to keep our magnificent game alive.

So please, send us a strong signal so that leads and players come back to your ROR.
Bye

There were almost 900 online for lotd the other night. Pop will go up during autumn/winter as it does every year.

As for trying to get more people into the game to increase the pop, now is not the time. It's best to get the balance changes, scenario, and RvR reworks done first so the new people that do come are more likely to stick around. Pop is healthy enough at the moment to sustain us while this work is done.

EDIT: The above is for bringing in new players btw. The warband and guild leaders will come back when they're ready. Most I imagine will come back once the reworks have been done, even it's it's just to check out the changes.

As a new player I'd like to second this. I hope there are more changes are coming because from the last few patches it seems only destro classes has been targeted, and currently there seems to be a huge imbalance in certain areas with class balance.

Number one problem with this game is overpowered healers.

They are way too tanky and they never run out of resources.

Its why so much of this game is either big groups running over little or boring stale nothing happening fights

If people in dresses were actually squishy and things you know, died it would make the game actually fun rather than endless healing detaunt fiesta

Either that or buff morales so that progression in fights is keyed to them

I dont have acces to playernumbers as Eden daoc freeshard is no longer showing playercount on their webpage.
There is both a Live version of Dark age of Camelot still running along with several freeshards have been popping up since the lockdown in 2020. But mainly the news servers or new seasons over on Eden seem to bring alot of attention and spike in Googletrends:

Summertime is one thing, content draught, no new gear, character development, no new changes to main replay loops for several years on RoR.
Where as on Eden they opened up new gear for season2, new rvr content with King of the Hill for 8mans, new content with siegetowers and siegetents for largescale rvr, new Realm vs Realm weeklong events with rewards, New invasion gamemode for realm vs realm where you can go into the homelands and invade the pve zones and kill the enemy kings.

My point is not that one game is greater than the other, point being that RoR has not had new character progression, no resets, barely any player retention, and the social media campaigns to bring awareness of the server have not brough in new players as there was no new content or reason to check out the server since City sieges were added in '20. Roleplay cities was a nice big event, but the content itself added no replayability.
